This is a perfect example of what can go wrong in conventional medical research, and is a valid example of the fears that many people do hold regarding “Big Medicine.” It’s by no means perfect, and sometimes the mistakes made are horrendous, tragic, completely avoidable, and often, no one is truly held accountable. Sometimes they are, but not nearly often enough.
