Somewhat similar to the 7 Stages of Grief, these really can’t be skipped. And while the article is humorous, it is also dead right. Learning to read actual science research publications is damn hard and requires training and background to do properly. Even then, any time you venture outside of your own area, you have to go through it all again to some degree.
