Tax-cutting House Republicans suddenly worry about the deficit when Puerto Rico needs help – Vox
This is the kind of GOP hypocrisy that literally makes me sick to my stomach. They claim to be “pro-life,” but in reality, they’re just “pro-birth, Pro-Christian, and Pro-rich white people.” Because these conservatives are so worried about the deficit even when people are suffering and starving and dying (and don’t forget, all Puerto Ricans are American citizens who pay taxes to the US government but have no voting power in Congress), but when it comes to giving the wealthy a tax cut that will blow a trillion dollar hole in the deficit, that’s ok.
And then they claim that they’re Christians. Hell no, they aren’t. They’re the perfect example of being new Pharisees. Sometimes I wish I weren’t an atheist, because then I could wish that Jesus would come throw them all out of their goddamn gaudy churches and remind them what he really taught. But I don’t believe in gods, so I don’t have that luxury.
