Indeed, gratitude is something to practice each and every day, in good and bad times. Gratitude makes the good times even more rewarding and helps us through the harder times. Almost all of us, no matter how challenging things might seem at the moment, are still richly blessed and fortunate compared to so many others in the world.

Today, look around you again with a sense of wonder, whether you are with friends, family, pets, or even by yourself. Breathe in love and peace, breathe out whatever troubles you, even if only for a moment, then do it again and again.

I am thankful for so many people today, it would be impossible to name them all. My friends and family – I am grateful for you.

This is for YOU.

Happy Thanksgiving

Every year at this time, I do the thing we are conditioned to do at Thanksgiving. I think about where my gratitude lies. It’s really an everyday thing, though, isn’t it, without boundaries of special dates on the calendar? Having gratitude for being alive, for what we feel, how we see, what we do is truly the thing underlying it all that makes for a life well lived.

One of my greatest gratitudes is how I’m somehow granted with an ability to flip the bad and hard stuff, the painful, limiting stuff and to live alongside it in acknowledgment yet sincere joy despite it.

Yet really I think one of my most giant and cherished piles of thankfulness goes to you.

It’s being here together, living our lives, doing the stuff we do in concert with each other that fills my heart more than anything. Thank you.
