Home/Critical Thinking, Skepticism, & Atheism/A harsh but valid question.

A harsh but valid question.

A harsh but valid question. And if you really think that your deity cares enough to help you pass your test, get a promotion, not be involved in that accident just ahead of you, etc. but somehow justify said deity not preventing child starvation by the hundreds of thousands during famines, the torture and murder of millions during wars, etc as “well, free will or mysterious ways or REASONS,” well, quite frankly, said deity is petty at best and useless at worst.

Seriously……..think about it. Long and hard. And if the best you’ve got is “my deity works in ways we don’t always understand,” then maybe…..just maybe, it’s not that you don’t understand, but that your deity just doesn’t care or doesn’t exist.
